![]() ![]() ![]() When Franco receives a letter from a former client confessing to his dad’s murder and alleging a setup by the NYPD, he and other members of his family try to figure out the truth. Trying to make sense of his missing time, he repeatedly meets with two detectives: one whom he finds very attractive and another who seems to hate him. The police arrive and Franco finds that his memory is failing him later, he’s alarmed to discover that he blacked out for an hour after witnessing the fight. His date doesn’t see anything, though, and believes that Franco is just having a weird reaction to the joint they shared earlier. One night, Franco is having sex with a stranger on his building’s rooftop when he sees two men fighting in a neighboring apartment. His dad’s murder was never properly investigated, largely due to the discovery of what the cops thought was Francesco’s “secret locker” full of cash and cocaine. ![]() Cut to 2016: Franco is now a photographer in his early 40s, living in SoHo. His 4-year-old son, Franco, is in the vehicle and is the only witness to his death. In 1977, moments before New York’s citywide blackout, Francesco DiMaso is shot and killed by a hooded man just outside his car.
